Spectators permitted at events
Following continued consultation with government agencies, MotorSport New Zealand has revised our current “Back in Motion” Plan for our various motorsport disciplines to conform with the requirements set by Government to meet the updated guidelines to ensure events can continue to run safely.
The revised Back in Motion Guidelines and Venue Plan documents are linked below.
These changes take place with immediate effect.
Below is a quick summary of the changes in the revised documents:
- Spectator admittance is permitted however spectators must be clearly segregated in their own ‘defined space’ away from the participants and officials of the event, and the event must still meet all current Government guidelines for gathering size limits. This will allow the organisers to ensure that their event is run within the guidelines set by the Government and MotorSport New Zealand.
- Face coverings are strongly recommended, but no longer mandatory
Please take time to carefully read the revised documents (linked below) and ensure you are aware of how the changes may affect your event as this may require you to update your venue plan.
The team at MotorSport New Zealand are available to help out with anything regarding the ‘Back in Motion’ guidelines or other motorsport related questions.
