
EOIs open for Appointed Board Member position
MotorSport New Zealand, the national governing body for four-wheeled motorsport in New Zealand, is seeking to appoint an independent (appointed) Board Member to contribute to the continued growth, innovation, and sustainability of the sport.
MotorSport New Zealand’s vision is to enable motorsport to thrive through strong leadership, community engagement, and financial resilience. Following its recent Board competency review, MotorSport New Zealand is particularly interested in candidates who can strengthen expertise in the following priority areas:
- Commercial funding and sponsorship development
- Technology and innovation in sporting and operational environments
- Volunteer and workforce engagement within member-based organisations
Ideal candidates will bring a strategic mindset, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to MotorSport New Zealand’s values. The following attributes are also considered essential:
- A sound understanding of the motor sport industry or comparable sporting sector
- Experience engaging with members, volunteers, and community stakeholders
Appointments are for independent Board positions and are open to individuals outside MotorSport New Zealand’s current membership who can offer diverse perspectives and governance capability.
