ClubSport resumes in Southland after christmas break

ClubSport competition resumes for 2021 when Round 5 of the 2020/2021 Evolution Motorsport ClubSport Championship takes place at Teretonga Park on Sunday.

More and more new faces are taking part in the Motorkhana events and anyone 12 years of age and over can join them this Sunday just by paying the entry fee of $25 and an extra $20 to get behind the wheel of one of the cars that are on hand to use. The consent of a parent or guardian is required for younger drivers. If you are interested in what ClubSport is about but are not sure it is for you don’t hesitate to come out for a look on Sunday, spectator admission is free.

Andrew Lawrie of Invercargill leads the Motorkhana Championship after four rounds from Craig Allan and Liam MacDonald while MacDonald leads the Autocross point standings from Lawrie and Josh Cooper. Cooper leads the Discount Tyres 0-1600cc class from Cole McKinnon and Malcolm Mitchell while MacDonald leads the Stresscrete 1601cc & over class from Lawrie and Jordan Michels.

Sign in for Motorkhana competitors is from 8.30am to 9.00am on Sunday with a 9.30am start while the Autocross sign in goes from 12.00 to 12.45pm with a 1.00pm start.
