Allport Motorsports appointed as official MotorSport New Zealand rally safety notes provider

MotorSport New Zealand has appointed Allport Motorsports as its official provider for rally safety notes.

Allport Motorsports, led by multiple New Zealand Rally Champion Neil Allport, and MotorSport New Zealand have formalised a four-year agreement that will see safety notes developed for not just New Zealand Rally Championship events, but all permitted rally events.

Already experienced in developing and supplying safety notes, the arrangement with Allport Motorsports furthers MotorSport New Zealand’s commitment to making rallying more accessible and safer.

“The appointment of Allport Motorsports as the rally safety notes provider demonstrates the continued commitment that has been there for 20 years from Neil and his team,” said MotorSport New Zealand CEO, Elton Goonan.

“Using of the world-renown Jemba system and its ability to provide a consistent delivery of notes helps ensure all competitors have a high-standard baseline for notes not only from a competition point of view, but also their safety”

As part of the arrangement, competitors will be able to submit feedback on the safety notes directly to MotorSport New Zealand for consideration by the organisation and Allport Motorsports. Feedback can be submitted via www.motorsport.org.nz/rally/safety-notes.

“We’re proud to be able to carry on the work that we started 20-odd years ago and be appointed as the official safety notes provider for another four years by MotorSport New Zealand,” said Allport.

“All rally competitors having access to quality notes is important, especially to those new competitors and those who compete at a club level. We look forward to continuing to work with the rallying community in New Zealand through this official appointment.”

Official safety notes from Allport Motorsports can be purchased from their website, www.allports.nz.
