The annual MotorSport New Zealand Conference, AGM and Awards took place this weekend in Christchurch. On Saturday morning presentations were made to those present followed by the Annual General Meeting in the afternoon.  The events of the day are summarised below.

Morning Session:

Prior to the AGM, an update on the first 11 months of MotorSport Online was presented along with a brief overview of the future of the platform. The Board also presented the 2023 Financial outcomes and this was discussed with the Club Delegates present.

Elections:

– Deborah Day was elected to the vacant position of President.
– Scott O’Donnell was re-elected to the vacant position on the Board.
Blair Thorpe was re-elected to the vacant position on the Race Commission
– Craig Jessop was re-elected to the vacant position on the Rally Commission
– James Storey was elected to the vacant position on the ClubSport Commission.
– Tim Hill was re-elected to the Historic Commission.

Remits to the Constitution:

The delegates voted unanimously in favour of all the proposed changes to the constitution of the organisation. These changes were approved in concept through the passing of several resolutions at the 76th AGM following a large amount of work done by a working group from 2021-2022. A summary of the constitutional changes will be prepared and published in due course.

78th AGM:

It was confirmed that the 78th AGM will take place in Auckland on Saturday 24th May 2025.

A special thank you to Racing Sims for providing attendees with entertainment over the course of the Conference & AGM as well as exposing attendees who were not familiar with Esports to the growing phenomenon.
