Tri-Nations Esport Cup revealed

UPDATE: Extra Pre-Qualifying session added: 30 July

A representative Esport series between New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom has been revealed by their respective motorsport governing bodies.

Dubbed the “Next Level Race Tri-Nations Cup”, the series will pit the ten fastest esports drivers from each country against each other in a double-header event on Sunday 6 August.

Held on the popular iRacing simulator, pre-qualifying sessions will take place for 24 hours from 9am local time on Sunday 23 July. Using the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO at Suzuka, the ten fastest drivers from each country will then progress to the Cup event a fortnight later on Sunday 6 August.

The Tri-Nations Esport Cup will take place over two races, again using the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO. Starting at 8:00pm NZT with practice, qualifying and 30-minute races at both Mount Panorama and Silverstone.

National pride won’t be the only thing on the line thanks to Next Level Racing. The overall winner will receive a Next Level Racing Elite Lite Wheelplate Edition and Next Level Racing ES1 Elite Seat while the regional winners will take home a Next Level Racing GT Track setup.

The Tri-Nations Esport Cup will be the first official Esport event between MotorSport New Zealand, Motorsport Australia and Motorsport UK and driven by experienced motorsport Esports organisers, Formula Racing Group Esports (FRG).

Fans will be able to follow the action thanks to RacestarsTV’s live broadcast coverage on YouTube.
