Non-compliant safety apparel for sale in New Zealand

MotorSport New Zealand wishes to advise all competitors and officials of a safety notification received from SFI Foundation regarding the authenticity of protective clothing manufactured and supplied under the provisions of SFI Spec 3.2A and SFI Spec 3.3.

The following points are raised:

• SFI has a specific registered trademark logo that identifies genuine safety apparel manufactured by one of their approved manufacturers
• The name of the actual manufacturer must be displayed on the garment in addition to any marketing name
• SFI Foundation has a list of all approved manufacturers published on their website www.sfifoundation.com

MotorSport New Zealand urges buyers to purchase with caution as non-compliant apparel is being sold in New Zealand.
