What is the COVID-19 Protection Framework?
The COVID-19 Protection Framework (CPF) is the new control system the NZ Government is implementing to control the COVID-19 Pandemic. The CPF will replace the current Alert Level system. 

What does the COVID-19 Protection Framework mean for motorsport events? 

The CPF will mean there are some changes to the current Back in Motion guidelines MotorSport New Zealand has used to run events in Alert Level 2. To find out how the CPF affects motorsport events, click here for the latest update. 

At what level in the COVID-19 Protection Framework can motorsport events take place? 

Events can take place at all levels (Red, Orange & Green). Each level has different restrictions, click here for the latest update on CPF restrictions.  

Are there restrictions of gather numbers at motorsport events?

There are no gathering restrictions for outdoor venues, meaning motorsport can take place without zones or limits outdoors. A limit of 200 people indoors still applies.

Is MotorSport New Zealand mandating COVID-19 Vaccinations?
MotorSport New Zealand is NOT mandating COVID-19 Vaccinations. However, businesses, organisations, venues and clubs can choose to make this their own requirement if they wish.

Why is motorsport being classified as an Event? 

An Event is an activity organised by a business or service that is held at commercial premises or private premises, publicly owned premises for the purpose of the activity. Entry is controlled through ticketing, fees, registration or by any other means.  

Can we have spectators? 

Yes spectators are allowed.
