Sceats ready to make final push for a championship podium result in the USA

This weekend marks an exciting milestone for Liam Sceats as he races on the West Coast of the USA for the first time ever in the USF Pro Championship Finale in Portland, Oregon. The event, which takes place alongside INDYCAR and Indy NXT as a support category, promises to be an exhilarating experience.

Currently sitting fourth overall in the championship standings, Liam has a chance to secure a top-three finish in the final standings, though it will require a stellar performance. Additionally, he holds second place in the rookie standings, further showcasing his impressive debut season.

“This will be my first time driving the track in Portland, so there’s some catching up to do against the competition,” said Liam. “However, I’ve done plenty of laps on the simulator and feel ready to hit the ground running. The track reminds me of New Zealand circuits—short and unforgiving, with little room for error.”

With a clear goal in mind, Liam aims to qualify within the front two rows of the grid, giving him the best chance to fight for victory in both races. He expressed confidence in his team, believing they will provide a strong car setup from the first session. “Qualifying will be extremely close here, so it’s crucial to extract every bit of performance from myself and the car,” he added.

Fans can catch all the action live on the “USF Pro Championship” YouTube Channel, where the races will be streamed.

As the season comes to a close, Liam extends his heartfelt thanks to his supporters and sponsors, without whom this journey wouldn’t be possible: Tony Quinn Foundation, Hampton Downs NZ Racing Academy, Omega Rental Cars Ltd, Giltrap Group, James Kirkpatrick Group Ltd, JFC Ltd, Armstrong’s, PaknSave Lincoln Road, Tasman Motorsports Group NZ, CreateLeap, Tell My Story, Wine Network, and Creme Insurance.

“Let’s have ourselves a strong final race weekend for the year!” Liam concluded.
