Winmax by Paddon Rallysport expands in 2019

Kiwi rally driver Hayden Paddon has been working with the Japanese high-performance brake pad manufacturer Winmax Brakes over the past five years. This close working relationship has contributed to the development of specific brake pad compounds and styles for the New Zealand rally scene, and Paddon’s New Zealand operation, Paddon RallySport, has imported and distributed the pads.

With the ‘Winmax by Paddon Rallysport’ name now established locally, Paddon Rallysport has started a new distribution partnership with motorsport parts and accessory specialists Palmside NZ Ltd in Christchurch.

“Winmax Brakes has, for many years, been one of the leading brands worldwide for motorsport brake pads,” says Paddon. “Winmax frequently features in major events and championships such as the Le Mans 24-Hour, the World Rally Championship, GT racing and the World Endurance Championship.

“The interest in Winmax has expanded quickly in the 12 months that we have been proactive with the product range in New Zealand. To aid that growth, it’s important we can provide good service and prompt delivery for Winmax customers.

“Appointing Palmside NZ Ltd as a distributor and supplier of Winmax by Paddon Rallysport will help us achieve that goal. We welcome Deane and his team at Palmside onboard, as they assist our customers with a greater range in stock and the personnel to respond to orders quickly.”

Both Palmside and Paddon Rallysport will hold stock of the Winmax brake pads at the same pricing.

“Up until now, with Winmax by Paddon Rallysport we have focused on the rally market,” says Paddon. “However, with our new base at Highlands Motorsport Park and new testing facilities, we have the opportunity to expand into the circuit racing scene with assistance with representatives at meetings around the country.
