Leitch to race Ferrari in GT World Challenge Asia

Harmony Racing has confirmed Brendon Leitch will join Song Jaijun in GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS in a Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.

Letich and ‘JJ’ will be one of three cars from an expanded three-car Harmony Racing and will lead its efforts in the top Pro-Am class.

Harmony Racing will also field experienced GT3 racer Adderly Fong and JZ in Silver-Am, while Deng Yi and Liu Kaishun contest Silver.

Leitch and Song will step up to GT3 racing together in 2026 off the back of a strong Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Pro-Am campaign that included several podium appearances.

“I’m very excited to be joining Harmony Racing and Song Jaijun for the season in Asia,” said Leitch.

“A massive thank you to JJ for having me along for the ride. JJ and I had a great season last year in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia and this is the logical step for us together.

“Plus, I can’t wait to get my hands on the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo. I have watched Harmony Racing with interest over the past few seasons. They have immaculate cars and great speed.

“I feel like I’ve driven just about every GT3 car under the sun now, but I haven’t ticked off the Ferrari box yet. That’s exciting, and the car’s pedigree speaks for itself.”

GT World Challenge Asia begins at Sepang in April and will also visit Mandalika, Shanghai, Fuji, Okayama, and Beijing.

Leitch has plenty of experience in Asia, having raced there in the Formula Regional Asian Championship, Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia, and the Asian Le Mans Series.

However, three circuits will be new to him, those being Mandalika in Indonesia, Okayama in Japan, and the Beijing street circuit in China’s capital.

Song made one start in GT World Challenge Asia in 2025 with Harmony Racing and said he is looking forward to developing his skills.

“Last year I got a first taste of GT3 racing with Harmony’s Ferrari at Okayama, and it was truly an unforgettable experience,” said Song.

“By entering full season in Pro-Am, I am motivated to sharpen my skills and compete with the best in Asia.”

The Ferrari that Song and Leitch will race is set to carry a Toy Story-inspired paint scheme with characters based on the iconic film series.

“This one is for the kids,” said Leitch.

“I’ve got no doubt this car will be a favourite, especially for the young fans.”

The forthcoming season promises to be a big one for Leitch, racing in GT World Challenge Asia with Harmony Racing and GT World Challenge Australia with Tigani Motorsport.
