Get Started: Volunteering
All motorsport events from Supercars and WRC to club-level hillclimbs need volunteers to help them run effectively, fairly and safely. Just like the wide variety of events, there are a large number of volunteer roles essential to making motorsport happen. From administrative roles to life-saving rescue teams, there’s something for every volunteer’s skillset.
WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?
MotorSport New Zealand is committed to ensuring motorsport is accessible to everyone – that includes volunteering. Volunteers of any background, including age, are welcome – although some young people may be limited in the volunteer duties they can undertake.
There are such a large range of volunteer roles, that there is something for everyone – no matter your background, age, experience or qualifications.
Qualifications and experience is no barrier – our Member Clubs and event organisers often provide training to new volunteers to get you up to speed, as well as experience volunteers to ensure you’re learning new things as you go.
If you do have special skills and qualifications such as technical, mechanical or medical – you may wish to use them in a relevant volunteer role in motorsport.
